Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on creation of additional objects of tourism infrastructure in Khorezm region” on 20 September 2013.

The document was adopted for further improving quality of services in tourism sector, creating favourable conditions for implementation of projects, directed at constructing and reconstructing social infrastructure in Khorezm region. Total cost of the programme is US$94.178 million.

Three projects envisage construction of three hotels for 32 places each in Urgench city. All of them will be three-star hotels.

Three more objects in Urgench will be reconstructed to three-star hotels. Another project envisages creation of trade-entertainment center and the restaurant in N.Kurbo Park. Some US$31.532 million will be directed to implementation of these projects.

The Government also approved with proposal on realization of former shop Detskiy Mir, owned by Uzrgenctransgaz, to private open joint stock commercial bank Infinbank for 970.42 million soums.

Infinbank will make preliminary payment for 275 million soums and will pay other part each quarter within five years.
