Meanwhile, the FIFA Executive Committee took the decision to compensate the UFF by organising another FIFA event, not necessarily a women’s competition, whenever it becomes possible in the future or by awarding the UFF new development projects.

Japan has been proposed as the new host for the competition. Formal confirmation of this will be made, upon receipt by FIFA of the Japanese government guarantees.
