Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new high-speed electric train has begun operating on the suburban route between Tashkent and Khodjikent, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan announced.
The train will run three times daily in each direction.
Equipped with six carriages, the train has a total passenger capacity of 1,184 people—approximately 1.5 times more than its predecessors.
Reaching a maximum speed of 120 km/h, the journey from Tashkent to Khodjikent takes 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Ticket prices are set at 20,000 soums for adults and 11,500 soums for children. Passengers can pay using the ATTO transport card or purchase tickets online.
