The State Committee on communication, information and telecommunication technologies of Uzbekistan, UNDP Project "Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership" (LGSP) and UNICON.UZ Center organized the event. Some 100 representatives of the government, ministries, departments and other organizations participated at the event.
Speaking at the recent meeting of the Government, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov underlined important of implementation of projects in ICT sector. In the result of the meeting, the Government decided to speed up development of electronic government in Uzbekistan.
The electronic document turnover system is key element of the e-government as it helps to improve efficiency of interaction among state bodies, private sector, population, as well as formation of information society.
UNICON.UZ developed е-Hujjat system, which is currently used by over 150 organizations, including ministries and departments. Currently, the center modernized the system with assistance of the joint project of UNDP and Government of Uzbekistan "Local Governance Support: Participation and Partnership".
The UNDP project also assisted to introduction of e-Hujjat system in Jizzakh and Namangan region, analyze shortages of previous version, purchase ICT equipment, develop recommendations on improving architecture and technologies for creation of new version.
New version of the system, built on modern platform and based on industrial standards and technologies, is designed for organization of exchange of electronic documents, improve and automatize office works and decision making, etc.
The platform of e-Hujjat ensures its compatibility with other electronic document turnover systems and allow its flexible integration to existing and new software of ministries, departments and organizations.
