Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new deputy director has been appointed to the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health.

Oibek Elmuratov has assumed this position in accordance with a resolution from the Cabinet of Ministers.

Before taking on this role, Elmuratov served as the acting director of the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investments.

He graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute in 1999 and began his career at the Project Financing Center of National Bank of Uzbekistan.

Over the years, Elmuratov has held various positions, including deputy head of a department at the Ministry of Finance, deputy head of the Road Fund, UN project manager in Uzbekistan, head of a department at the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Industry, and head of a division in the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade.
