Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Behzod Saylikhonovich Hamraev was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

He is entrusted with the duties of supervising the work in the areas of monetary policy, monetary operations, statistics and research.

Until today, he held the position of Director of the Department of Monetary Policy at the Central Bank.

Mr Hamraev was born in 1983 in Bukhara region. In 2006 he graduated from the magistracy of Tashkent State Economic University, in 2016 he graduated from the National Institute of Political Sciences in Japan. He has a master’s degree in econometrics and statistics.

He began his career at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 2008, he has been continuing to work in the Central Bank system.
