Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presidential resolution “On measures to reform and restructure state enterprises and commercial banks with state participation in authorized capital” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, the Ministry of Finance is entrusted with the function of coordinator of the reform and restructuring of enterprises and banks with state participation.

In the structure of the Ministry, the Main Directorate for Tariff Policy and Reform of State-owned Enterprises was established on the basis of the Main Directorate for Finance and Tariff Regulation of Basic Industries, the Fuel and Energy Complex and Geology Development, and the Directorate for Coordination of Reforms of Commercial Banks with Government Participation within the total staff of the Ministry’s management staff

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance:

-coordinates the activities of ministries and departments in matters of reforming enterprises with state participation, including the implementation of work on the restructuring of state-owned enterprises and business associations by separating their economic and regulatory functions;

- coordinates development with the involvement of experts of international financial organizations proposals to ensure effective ownership, management and reform of commercial banks, providing for a phased reduction in the participation of the state in them.
