Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of March this year, Uzbek-made tires began being installed on Damas vehicles. By the end of 2024, the locally produced Bars tires are expected to be fitted on Chevrolet Tracker and Chevrolet Onix models.

Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi, a prominent manufacturer of automotive and agricultural tires as well as conveyor belts in Central Asia, is the sole producer of these products in Uzbekistan. The plant manufactures high-quality and reliable products that comply with international standards and regulations.

The Angren-based tire factory has become the supplier of original equipment tires for Uzbekistan’s automotive manufacturers. The company has conducted homologation processes, adapting its products to specific vehicle models. This compliance with global requirements has been confirmed through tests conducted at proving grounds in the United States, South Korea, Brazil, and China.

By the end of 2024, Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi plans to begin fitting Bars tires on Chevrolet Tracker and Chevrolet Onix vehicles. This initiative aims to reduce the local automotive industry’s dependence on imported components and create new jobs.

Gulomjon Ibragimov, General Director of Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi, highlighted that equipment from leading global manufacturers of automotive tires, agricultural machinery tires, and conveyor belts was recommended by the international consulting company "Asia Tech." He emphasized that Bars tires offer excellent performance characteristics, including high stability and handling at high speeds, as well as reduced hydroplaning risk due to their unique tread design.

The plant’s production capacity is 3 million automotive tires and 100,000 linear meters of conveyor belts per year. Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi operates a full production cycle—from creating rubber compounds to manufacturing the final products and ensuring quality control. The factory is equipped with modern machinery from world leaders, including KOBE STEEL (Japan) for rubber compound preparation, Comerio Ercole (Italy) and Fischer (Germany) for component preparation, VMI (Netherlands) and LingLong (China) for tire assembly, LingLong (China) for vulcanization, and KOBE STEEL (Japan) and Yxlon (Germany) for quality control.

The factory has implemented a 200% quality control system, involving both visual inspection by experienced operators and automatic inspection. Only primary raw materials are used in the production of automotive tires, agricultural tires, and conveyor belts, with no secondary materials allowed.

"Birinchi" products are sold on the Uzbek market and exported to the Russian Federation. In 2025-2026, the product line will be expanded with new tires designed specifically for local climatic conditions.

The factory’s products meet international standards and requirements, having received certifications such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 50001:2018, EC117, EC - 30, IATF - 16949:2016, and are certified by the national certification system of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Birinchi Rezinotexnika Zavodi LLC was founded in 2014 by a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to organize the construction of a rubber products factory in the Angren Free Industrial Zone.

Mass production began in July 2018 with the following annual capacities:

- 3 million automotive tires (21 sizes),

- 200,000 agricultural tires (2 sizes),

- 100,000 linear meters of conveyor belts (30 types of rubber-fabric and rubber-cable belts).
