Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new automotive component manufacturing facility has been launched in Chirchik with the participation of South Korean company IOTA Co. Ltd.

The project is being implemented within the framework of a strategic partnership between JSC Uzavtosanoat and IOTA Co. Ltd.

In April 2024, the parties reached an agreement to localize the production of tubes and hoses for automotive air conditioning systems, with IOTA Co. Ltd. investing $6.1 million in establishing the facility.

The new site is equipped with advanced production lines and South Korean testing equipment. The facility has a daily capacity of 2,400 tubes and hoses, with an estimated annual output of 110 billion soums.

The project will fully meet UzAuto Motors’ needs for air conditioning components, reduce imports, optimize logistics, and increase localization within the automotive industry.

The enterprise has created 120 new jobs, positively contributing to the socio-economic development of Chirchik.

The company plans to expand production to include similar components for BYD and KIA vehicles.

JSC Uzavtosanoat will continue efforts to develop industrial cooperation, attract investment, and establish modern, high-tech manufacturing facilities in the country’s automotive sector.
