New Ambassador of Uzbekistan arrives in Paris

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nodir Ganiev has arrived in the French capital, Paris, Dunyo news agency.

Until now, he served first as the Chargé d’Affaires and then, starting from October 2023, as the first Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Sweden.

It is worth noting that the diplomatic mission in Stockholm was opened in 2022 and became the 36th Uzbek Embassy abroad.

Nodir Ganiev, aged 52, graduated from Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) with a degree in philology and oriental studies. He has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1994, holding various positions in the central apparatus and diplomatic missions abroad.

Before his appointment to Sweden, he was the head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions.

Nodir Ganiev replaces Sardor Rustambayev in Paris, who led the Uzbek Embassy in France from 2018 to 2023 and has been appointed as the Ambassador to India.
