Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 11 July 2024, Cabinet Resolution “On Measures for the Effective Organization of the System of Retraining and Qualification Improvement of Managers and Educators of Higher Education Institutions” was adopted.

By Presidential resolution No. PP-200 from 3 July 2023, the Head Scientific and Methodological Center was renamed the Institute for Retraining and Qualification Improvement of Personnel in the Higher Education System under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.

The document outlines the main tasks of the Institute:

- Coordination of organizational and methodological activities of higher education institutions in retraining and qualification improvement of managers and educators.

- Organization of courses for the improvement of qualifications of managers and educators in universities and academies.

- Implementation of mechanisms for continuous improvement of professional knowledge, skills, and abilities of managers and educators.

- Training of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in doctoral programs.

- Development and implementation of digital information systems for systematic analysis and monitoring of the quality and effectiveness of the educational process in retraining and qualification improvement courses.

- Development of educational plans and programs based on the best international practices.

- Attraction of highly qualified foreign specialists to scientific activities and exchange of advanced pedagogical experience.

The organizational structure of the Institute has been approved.

Additionally, at the initiative of the Ministry, a Network Center for Retraining and Qualification Improvement of Teachers will be established at the Uzbek State University of World Languages.

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, the Center for Retraining and Qualification Improvement will organize courses for teachers in the fields of "Philology and Language Studies," "Foreign Language and Literature," and "Translation."
