Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The net profit of Kapitalbank for the second quarter of 2024 amounted to 712.3 billion soums, which is 3.6% higher than in the same period of 2023.
The main factor slowing down the growth of net profit was the increase in the assessment of potential losses on loans and leasing from 148.0 billion to 416.6 billion soums.
The bank's assets as of the end of the second quarter of 2024 amounted to 42.8 trillion soums, which is 29.7% higher compared to the same period last year.
The bank's capital increased by 50.6%, reaching 4.9 trillion soums in the reporting period.
Interest income of the bank amounted to 5.5 trillion soums, which is 38.3% higher than the previous year, while non-interest income amounted to 1.5 trillion soums, increasing by 29.2%.
According to the Central Bank, as of 1 June, 2024, the bank's loan portfolio amounted to 29.0 trillion soums, which is 36.0% higher compared to the same period of last year. The share of non-performing loans (NPL) increased from 0.7% to 2.7%.
