Net operational revenue of the company in Uzbekistan made up US$58.9 million in the first quarter of 2011, or grew by 30% year-on-year (from US$45.3 million).

The growth of the revenue in mobile communication segment made up 31.5% compared to the same period of 2010 and grew from US$42.9 million in the first quarter of 2010 to US$56.4 million in the same period of 2011.

Revenue from fixed communication increased by 4.2% to US$2.5 million in the reporting period (US$2.4 million in 1Q 2010).

In the reporting period, OIBDA grew by 37.2% from US$19.6 million to US$26.9 million. OIBDA margin grew from 43.3% in the first quarter of 2010 to 45.7% in the same period of 2011.

Subscribers’ base of the mobile communication grew by 46.2% year-on-year in the first quarter of 201q to 5.102 million. According to the company, number of mobile broadband subscription made up 8,400 in the reporting period (+23.5%).

MOU (Monthly Average Minutes of Use per User) made up 390.7 minutes in the first quarter of 2011 (+5.8%) against 369.2 minutes in the same period of 2010.

ARPU (Monthly Average Revenue per User) decreased by 9.5% year-on-year from US$4.2 to US$3.8 in the reporting period.

Number of subscribers to broadband Internet comprised 84,400 at the end of the first quarter of 2011, which is up by 170.5% year-on-year.

VimpelCom owns Unitel LLC and Buzton JV LLC in Uzbekistan. Unitel LLC renders mobile communication services under Beeline brand in Uzbekistan, while Buzton JV LLC offers fixed communication and Internet service.
