Net income of Ammofos-Maxam drops to 11.124bn soums in 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Net income of Ammofos-Maxam open joint stock company made up 11.124 billion soums in 2011 against 14.345 billion soums in 2010, the financial report of the company said.

According to the company’s report, net revenue reached 165.793 billion soums in 2011 against 175.24 billion soums in 2010, while prime cost fell from 129.076 billion soums to 131.324 billion soums.

Gross income from realization of goods decreased from 36.165 billion soums to 34.468 billion soums in the reporting period. Expenses rose from 22.07 billion soums to 24.64 billion soums in the reporting period.

Assets of Ammofos-Maxam rose from 194.7 billion soums in 2010 to 205.814 billion soums in 2011. Long-term assets grew from 21.465 billion soums in 2010 to 77.31 billion soums in 2011. Current assets decreased from 173.234 billion soums in 2010 to 128.504 billion soums in 2011.

Own capital of the company exceeded 51.595 billion soums in 2011 against 67.695 billion soums in 2010. The charter capital made up 4.939 billion soums.

Liabilities of the company rose from 127.004 billion soums in 2010 to 154.218 billion soums in 2011.

Ammofos-Maxam open joint stock company is located in Almalyk, Tashkent region. The plant was commissioned in 1969. The enterprise is the largest producer of nitrogenous phosphatic mineral fertilizers in Uzbekistan. It meets 85% of demand of agriculture sector in phosphate fertilizers.

Spain’s Maxam Corp. acquired 49% stake in Ammofos-Maxam OJSC for US$18 million in January 2008. It also undertook investment obligation for US$30 million, which will be directed to modernization of existing capacities.
