Net income of AGMK makes up 87.329bn soums in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Net income of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK, Tashkent region) grew 3.21 times from 27.191 billion soums in 2009 to 87.329 billion soums in 2010.

According to annual reported, net revenue increased from 887.6 billion soums in 2009 to 1.16 trillion soums in 2010. Prime cost made up 594.65 billion soums against 465.38 billion soums in 2009.

The company said it mined 30.1 million tonnes of copper ore and produced 86,300 tonnes of copper products, 51,100 tonnes of metal zinc and 382,100 tonnes of sulphuric acid in 2010.

AGMK utilized capital investments for US$189 million within investment programme, including industrial programmes.

Gross income of AGMK increased from 422.22 billion soums in 2009 to 564.3 billion soums in 2010. Expenses rose from 382.01 billion soums to 419.07 billion soums in the reporting period.

Other income from main activity made up 109.27 billion soums in 2010 compared to 88.77 billion soums in 2009. Profit from main activity grew from 128.98 billion soums in 2009 to 254.29 billion soums in 2010.

Income from financial activity jumped 1.42 times from 13.25 billion soums in 2009 to 18.82 billion soums in 2010. Expenses from financial activity grew from 11.52 billion soums to 26.61 billion soums in the reporting period.

The assets grew from 1.136 trillion soums to 1.55 billion soums in the reporting period. The charter capital made up 161.488 billion soums in 2010 against 89.687 billion soums in 2009. Reserve capital increased from 274.04 billion soums to 411.205 billion soums in the reporting period. Undistributed income rose from 101.64 billion soums to 119.074 billion soums.

Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is one of the largest producer of nonferrous metal in Central Asia and only copper producer of Uzbekistan. AGMK produces 90% of silver and 20% of gold in Uzbekistan. The company has two mining enterprises, two concentrating plants and two metallurgy plants.
