Nestlé introduces Nestlé needs YOUth Initiative at Global Youth Festival

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Nestlé, a leading global company in the food and beverage industry, has introduced its initiative, Nestlé needs YOUth, at the Global Youth Festival in Uzbekistan.

The Global Youth Festival, organized by the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, brought together leaders of youth organizations, young entrepreneurs, scientists, and representatives of arts, culture, and tourism to share opinions, experiences, and seek solutions to current global issues.

The Youth Affairs Agency of Uzbekistan emphasized that, considering Uzbekistan’s potential in youth policy development, holding such events to support active youth who strive to develop their skills and expand their networks is crucial for economic progress.

The agency also noted that the participation of more than 15 international organizations in the Global Youth Festival underscores the importance of the chosen development direction on the global stage. The Agency believes that the unique opportunities provided to young leaders from various sectors at the event, as well as the involvement of major international companies like Nestlé, contribute to sustainable development and positive global changes.

The Nestlé needs YOUth program aims to develop and employ young people.

Sergey Lysuk, General Manager of Nestlé in Uzbekistan, emphasized that the company places great importance on societal development through caring for the future of the youth.

"That’s why we are ready to help young people develop their professional skills to form talented personnel in our company and ensure a successful start in their future professional lives," said Sergey Lysuk.

"We highly appreciate the efforts of the Uzbek government in supporting youth and are pleased to be part of such an important event as the Global Youth Festival, where we can present the Nestlé needs YOUth program and share our many years of experience," he added.

The Nestlé needs YOUth initiative, launched in 2013, helps young people take their first career step and acquire the necessary skills for successful future work. Over the past five years, more than 100 young specialists in Uzbekistan have joined the program, with many receiving job offers at the company after completing their internships.

Sergey Lysuk also noted that one of the key features of the program is the opportunity for internships with cross-functional interaction with various company departments. This allows participants to establish contacts not only within their team but also with colleagues from other departments and markets, immerse themselves in corporate culture, and gain the necessary experience for career growth.

Nestlé actively collaborates with leading Uzbek universities by organizing job fairs, lectures, and open days, which contributes to the practical training of students and their successful future careers.
