Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 March 2020, negotiations were held with the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebaev in the format of video conferencing.
The current state and prospects of development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are considered. The parties discussed in detail joint measures to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the trade volumes of the two countries. The importance of continuing close coordination and interaction at the level of two ministries was emphasized.
In order to reduce the transit time of goods through the border posts of the two states, a mechanism for operational, direct exchange of data on transported freight vehicles across the territories of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has been agreed.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue to develop additional measures aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral trade and economic partnership.
