Negotiations on expanding Uzbekistan-Russia cooperation in tourism held in Sochi
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to the Russian Federation, Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, in the city of Sochi.
The parties discussed current issues related to deepening cooperation in the tourism sector, including increasing mutual tourist flows, promoting national tourism products, and Russian participation in tourism and infrastructure projects being implemented in Uzbekistan.
Special attention during the talks was given to creating favorable conditions for travel by citizens of both countries, developing business tourism, and designing specialized tourism offers for employees of large companies.
They also reviewed mechanisms for attracting investment to Uzbekistan’s tourist zones and boosting the involvement of tour operators from both countries in industry exhibitions and forums held in Uzbekistan and Russia.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expanding bilateral tourism exchanges and expressed readiness to continue constructive dialogue on the implementation of joint projects.
