Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Negatives of “The Revolt of the Daughters-in-Law” and “Bitter Berry” films, as well as 9 animated films of the 60s, stored in the State Film Fund of Russia, were digitized and returned to Uzbekistan.
The project was implemented with the support of the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan.
Republican Film Fund SUE plans to digitize dozens of films that have become the golden legacy of Uzbek films and return to Uzbekistan from Russia.
“Tahir and Zuhra” (1945, directed by Nabi Ganiyev), “The whole mahalla is talking about it” (1960, directed by Shukhrat Abbosov), “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” (1980, directed by Latif Fayziyev), “Leningraders, My Children...” (1980, directed by Damir Salimov) are among them.
