On 17 March, Tashkent will host a session of experts and coordinators of the member-banks of the SCO IBA. At the session, it is planned to discuss the current activities of the Association, experts and facilitators will also prepare documents planned for discussion during the meeting of the Board of SCO IBA.

The Board of the SCO IBA will be held in Tashkent in June 2016 on the eve of the meeting of the Council of the heads of the SCO member states.

The event will be attended by the chairpersons of the banks-members of IBA SCO, partner banks and representatives of Development Bank of Mongolia and the Silk Road Fund as invited guests. During the meeting, it is planned to accept the Development Bank of Mongolia as the partner bank, as well as to establish cooperation and partnership with the Silk Road Fund.

Interbank Association of the SCO focuses on supporting regional economic cooperation. It was founded on 26 October 2005. The Association unites authorized banks of the SCO member states – Kazakhstan Development Bank, Vnesheconombank (Russia), Tajikistan State Saving Bank “Amonatbonk”, National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan. In 2008, Eurasian Development Bank became partner of the Association. National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan represents Uzbekistan in the organization.
