NBU finances projects in Syrdarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 September, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a press tour. This time, journalists visited Syrdarya region. Participants of the event during the press tour visited the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture AWP LLC, Shirin Agro Nur LLC, Voha Barakasi mini-market and the Syrdarya branch of the NBU.

Media representatives visited the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture AWP LLC in the Syrdarya region. AWP LLC was established in 2017. The main activity of the enterprise is the production of sanitary products. The company requested financial support from the bank to finance a project worth US$9.9 million. Bank allocated loans for US$1.36 million to the project. The company’s own funds made up US$8.55 million. As a result, the company created 267 new jobs.

During the day, media representatives visited the Syrdarya branch of the National Bank and got acquainted with its activities. Currently, the Syrdarya branch of the NBU is working in partnership with 1,293 legal entities, 40,316 individuals and 1,343 individual entrepreneurs. The bank management organized a contest for the media and awarded the winners with prizes.

In the afternoon, the participants of the event visited the SHIRIN AGRO NUR limited liability company in the city of Shirin, Syrdarya Region. The company was founded in 2016. The main activity of the enterprise is the cultivation of agricultural products. The company requested a loan from the bank to finance the project for a total of US$700,000. The aim of the project is to create a greenhouse on 1 ha square. Of this amount, the company’s own funds makes up US$150,000 and a loan from the National Bank – US$567,800. As a result, 7 new jobs were created.

During a visit to Syrdarya region, media representatives visited the Voha Barakasi mini-market in Shirin under the Obod Qishloq Rim program. The bank allocated funds to purchase construction materials.
