Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the French bank NATIXIS signed two agreements totaling 500 million euros.

The documents were signed on 5 October 2018 in Paris as part of the Uzbek-French Business Forum and on the eve of the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to France.

The agreements envisages expansion of cooperation in financing large investment projects, as well as small and medium-sized business projects involving the import of high-tech equipment and services from France and other EU countries, under insurance coverage of export credit agencies.

Within the framework of the agreements reached, it is planned to implement projects in the field of export financing, to assist in entering European capital markets, as well as to provide loans for the implementation of strategic projects.

The establishment of cooperation by the NATIXIS bank gives a new impetus to the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries and will allow attracting long-term credit resources on favorable conditions and will create new investment opportunities for business in Uzbekistan.
