NBU and AKA Bank sign agreement for 100 million euros

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NBU) and Germany’s AKA Bank (AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH) have signed a 100 million euro loan agreement for development of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and European countries.

According to the press service of the Uzbek Bank, the document was signed on 19 February 2018 in Frankfurt am Main (Germany).

As part of the agreement, the German bank will provide the credit line for financing of investment projects, as well as small business and private enterprise projects, which involve import of goods and services from Germany and other EU countries.

The signed agreement with AKA Bank is a practical implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Governmental delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to Germany on 14-17 November 2017.
