Navqiron Uzbekistan Festival starts to accept applications
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Fund Forum said it will start to accept applications for participation at the Fifth Republican Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Arts “Navqiron Uzbekistan” (Young Uzbekistan) on 15 May 2012.

The festival is organized by Fund Forum, Uzbekistan Science Academy and Youth Creative Palace. The applications will be received from 15 May to 15 July 2012 at the Youth Creative Palace.

Republican Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Arts “Navqiron Uzbekistan” is organized once in two years and allows young painters to reveal their potential. Painters at the age between 18 and 35 can submit application to the festival.

The festival is held in such directions as fine arts, arts and crafts, design and contemporary art.

The Navqiron Uzbekistan (Young Uzbekistan) Festival of Traditional and Contemporary Arts held once in two years is one of the first youth projects of the Fund Forum aimed at discovering and supporting young artists and masters of applied art. For the first time the Festival took place in 2004 in Tashkent. Young artists and masters under 35 with art education take part in this event from all over the country. The motto of the Navqiron Uzbekistan Festival is “The modern view of traditional arts of Uzbekistan!” Participants present their original works, reflecting new perception of well-known styles of art by young artists and masters. A unique mix of the historical traditions and modern trends, of past and present, of East and West is notable in such pieces.
