Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The net profit of the state enterprise Navoiuran for January-June 2024 amounted to 1.9 trillion soums, reflecting a 55% increase compared to the same period last year.
The volume of industrial production reached 4.9 trillion soums, a 12.3% increase from the previous year. Export revenue grew by 83.5%.
According to the industry company UxC, global natural uranium production increased by 10% last year, reaching 54.8 thousand tons. Approximately 87% of production is concentrated among nine major companies.
Since 2010, the leader in uranium production has been "Kazatomprom," holding 20% of the global market. Canadian company Cameco ranks second with a 15% share of global production.
Navoiuran accounts for 7% of global uranium production, totaling over 3.8 thousand tons. The next largest producers are China’s CNNC (6%) and Britain’s BHP (5%).
