Within the localization projects, the enterprises saved over 107.4 million, local newspaper Pravda Vostoka reported.

In particular, for last two years Nurota-poleogen LLC is carrying out project on production of marble powder, which is highly demanded among oil producing enterprises. The marble powder is used as weighting agent of drilling and production of light-weight oil-well cement mixtures, construction materials and in varnish-and-paint industry.

The enterprise carried out new project for 135 million soums in 2010. Enterprises of Uzgeoburneftegaz used barium powder, imported from abroad. Tashkent State Technical University proposed method on production of marble powder in Nurata district of Navoi region. The enterprise installed mill of Russian production.

The company produced the first part of product for Uzpartaminot. The calculation showed that the marble powder is twice cheaper compared to imported one. Nurota-poleogen LLC last year started production of high quality product at industrial volume.

The enterprise can produce up to 10,000 tonnes of powder a year. The enterprise has ecologic clean and wasteless production. The enterprise uses local raw material. There are 45 small enterprises in the region, which are processing marble. Each year, the enterprises store over 10,000 tonnes of marble wastes, which are used as raw material.

Nurota-poleogen supplies its products to Uzpartaminot and Eriell Uzbekistan along with enterprises of Uzgeoburneftegaz. According to experts, the use of local products allowed these enterprises to cut prime cost. Annually, the enterprises save thousands of US dollars.

Within the regional localization programme, six enterprises of the region, including NGMK, Navoiazot, Qyzylqumcement, Elektrohimzavod, realized 44 projects on production of ready products, materials, spare parts and components.
