Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Illegal consumption of natural gas worth more than 5.5 billion soums was detected at a CNG filling station in Altyaryk district of Ferghana region. This volume of valuable fuel could supply almost 28 thousand households for a month, reports the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

According to the department, employees of Khududgaztaminot JSC, together with the Uzenergoinspectorate and the Department under the General Prosecutor’s Office, carried out control activities in the Ferghana region. During these studies, it was established that Namangan Istiqlol Bog’i LLC, located in the Altyaryk region, illegally used natural gas.

In particular, at the Afsona-46 CNG filling station, owned by this LLC, gaskets were found in the positive/minus tubes of the measuring complex, which is a violation of the interstate standard (GOST 8.586-2005).

The Ministry of Energy noted that as a result of such illegal actions, damage to the interests of the state was caused in the amount of 5.542 billion soums. In relation to offenders, the volumes of natural gas were recalculated for this amount (5.5 million cubic meters of natural gas). It is clarified that the illegally wasted volume of natural gas is equivalent to the monthly consumption of 27.7 thousand households.

Documents regarding the incident were submitted to law enforcement agencies in accordance with the established procedure.
