Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan stopped the illegal activities of several natives of Bukhara.

During the preliminary investigation, it turned out that they stored military weapons and ammunition in their houses in Bukhara.

During an inspection of the house of a 51-year-old citizen, three Makarov pistols and 21 cartridges, one TT pistol and five cartridges, as well as a sound suppression device (silencer) were discovered hidden on the roof.

The man, together with his accomplices, smuggled these weapons and ammunition from Russia. According to the conclusion of a forensic ballistic examination, the weapons and ammunition are military and suitable for use.

Two hunting rifles and six cartridges without the appropriate documents were found in the house of another citizen.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 246 (Smuggling) and Article 248 (Illegal trafficking in firearms, ammunition, main parts of firearms, explosives, explosives or explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. An investigation is underway.
