- The reforms that are being carried out in the film industry today, as well as the fulfillment of instructions and tasks set by the head of state in the direction of supporting young filmmakers, identifying their talents, studying problems and shortcomings that worry them, today are important conditions for the work of the Uzbekkino National Agency, - said the general director of the agency Firdavs Abdukhalikov. - For the first time in the past thirty years, a memorandum was concluded between VGIK and the Uzbekkino, according to which, on a competitive basis, young specialists of the film industry of Uzbekistan were admitted to study. Initiated project "Debut" on the basis of the youth creative experimental studio has become a kind of launching pad for young people interested in cinema. Many films that will delight viewers this year are the debut works of young, promising and ambitious filmmakers, including the film that we are presenting today as part of the National Cinematography Week.
¬- The main goal of our project is to convey to the audience, especially to the youth, the monstrous essence of terrorism, its criminal acts against humanity, - said the film’s director Mukhamadali Iskandarov. - We tried to show the greedy and treacherous face of terrorism, when people, for the sake of money, betray their Motherland, fathers and mothers, their friends. And also to show the groundlessness of the ideas of terrorism, its hostile and criminal essence and the irreversibility of punishment for such actions. Through the painting, we urge people to be vigilant, ready at the right time to stand up to defend their homeland, the favorable foundations of life.
“We are all direct witnesses of the ongoing reforms in the Uzbekkino system, and, as far as possible, participants in positive changes,” says the film’s executive producer Nodyr Muminov. - Now it is felt that the main attention is paid to the degree of creative approach, the usefulness of the created work in the formation of a modern harmoniously developed person, a patriot of his country. Thanks to the comprehensive assistance of Uzbekkino, we have solved our organizational and financial issues. Today, mutual understanding and cooperation of the Uzbekkino National Agency and young filmmakers gives inspiration to everyone.
On 14 January, in connection with the Defender of the Fatherland Day, another special screening of the picture will take place for the military and employees of the internal affairs bodies.
