Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) hosted a delegation from the U.S.-based stock exchange NASDAQ.

The meeting was attended by Nodirbek Khusanov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RSE "Toshkent", Georgiy Paresishvili, Chairman of the Management Board, and Zafar Samatov, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board. The NASDAQ delegation was led by Edward Knight, Executive Vice Chairman, and Dmitry Zelentsov, Director of Financial Technologies.

During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for strategic partnership, focusing on the modernization of exchange infrastructure and technologies, participation in Uzbekistan’s privatization processes, and the potential for dual listing of Uzbek issuers on both exchanges.

Summarizing the talks, Georgiy Paresishvili emphasized the importance of experience exchange and adopting advanced practices for the continued development of Uzbekistan’s capital market. He noted that the NASDAQ delegation’s visit marked a significant step toward strengthening international cooperation and enhancing the investment appeal of the Toshkent Stock Exchange.
