NAPU strengthens cooperation with Peking University with the assistance of the Chinese Embassy in the field of advanced training of civil servants

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 November 2019, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPU) held a meeting with representatives of the Office of the Advisor on Trade and Economic Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan () and Peking University.

At the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and China have been fruitfully cooperating for several decades, and undoubtedly the partnership between the countries is developing rapidly, revealing the potential for deepening bilateral cooperation in many areas.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the discussion of prospects and opportunities for cooperation in the framework of the planned seminars in China in 2020.

The agency expressed interest in intensifying training activities for employees of state bodies and institutions in the field of digital economy and e-government, as well as the regulation and development of the circulation of crypto assets.

At the same time, the Chinese side proposed to organize training for representatives of government bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan in various areas in master's and doctoral studies on a grant basis at the South-South Institute at Peking University, and also acquainted with the requirements for candidates and the procedure for their selection.

It should be noted that the Chinese government in the period from April to December of the current year, represented by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, organized more than 130 seminars and trainings on various topics for employees of the public sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in which more than 350 participants from more than 120 ministries and departments of Uzbekistan took part.

During the seminars, participants also studied the economic and social development of China, measures to implement the initiative "One belt - One road".
