The branch was opened taking into account dynamic growth of number of microfinance organizations and their services in Uzbekistan, thanks to support of the Uzbekistani Government, Central Bank and international organizations, as well as necessity to render NAMOCU services in places and to establish direct contacts with members.
The initiative was realized at assistance of GTZ within its regional programme on support of microfinancing in Central Asia.
The branch will represent NAMOCU in state, public and other organizations in regional level in order to represent interest of microfinance organizations, members of association, as well as stimulate the growth of new organizations.
The branch will also render NAMOCU services, including lobbying legislation on microfinancing, holding trainings and seminars, roundtables and working meetings with interested sides for further development of the sector in Andijan region, carrying out practical research on credit unions and microfinance organizations’ development.
Islomboy Hasanov has been appointed as director of NAMOCU branch in Andijan city.
