Namangan Airport marks its 70th anniversary
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Namangan Airport, located in eastern Uzbekistan, marks its 70th anniversary, a press service of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari said.

Created as military airport in 1941, currently Namangan Airport accepts and services almost all types of aircrafts, which used for passenger flights.

The capacity of the airport makes up 200 passengers an hours. The airport has video information system and voice passenger information system.

The airline said that some 62,894 passengers have been sent via the airport in nine months of 2011. The airport served 6,605 transit passengers.

In the reporting period, some 27,500 tonnes of cargoes were transported via the airport, which increased four times. Over 20,600 tonnes of additional luggage were also transported, which grew by 7% year-on-year.
