Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25-26 August, Astana hosted a meeting of representatives of the energy and water management departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, dedicated to discussing issues of water and energy cooperation. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, issues of electric energy supplies in the upcoming autumn-winter season, as well as cooperation in other areas were discussed. A number of mutual agreements were reached, the volumes and conditions of supplies were determined.

The parties also agreed to work out the possibility of introducing a mechanism for hourly accounting of electric energy; to conclude contracts for the settlement of unscheduled flows between economic entities; to revise the current terms of contracts for the settlement of unscheduled flows.

The participants confirmed their commitment to fulfilling their previous commitments.

The next meeting of representatives of water management and energy departments will be held in November 2023 in Bishkek.
