Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — American billionaire Elon Musk has warned that humanity could disappear from vast regions of the Earth if the decline in birth rates is not stopped.

He shared this opinion on the social media platform X, commenting on a proposal by Swedish journalist Peter Emanuelsson to introduce tax breaks for women in Europe to boost population growth.

"It’s worth a try. Something has to change, or Europe and Asia (and much of the Earth) will disappear!" Musk noted.

Earlier, in April of the previous year, Musk referred to the sharp decline in the share of young Americans with children over the last three decades as an absolute catastrophe for the United States.

In December, he also stated that Germany and Europe are on the brink of disappearing due to low birth rates.
