The festival was opened with the musical “Scarlet Sails” by Alexander Grin. The musical is beautiful love story. The play was staged by young director Kamila Abdurahmanova.

Theatre.UZ/2012 was organized by Fund Forum, Uzbekistan Youth Theatre, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, and Uzbektheratre. The festival will be closed on 7 October with the National Cloth Festival.

Within the festival, it is planned to present various plays and organize five master classes, four joint projects, five foreign plays and five local plays, etc.
