Economy 23/07/2009 Muruvvat-Agrosanoat well ahead in 2009 harvest

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Muruvvat-Agrosanoat FSV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zeromax GmbH, is considerably ahead of time to complete its 2009 grain harvest.

As in 2008, the crop area totaled 5,957 hectares of grain cultivated in the Dzizak, Sirdarya and Tashkent regions, of which 4,100 hectares were sown with Tanya, Nota and Fortuna super- productive and stock varieties.

Harvesting is expected to be finished before 22 July 2009, with a total gross grain yield of approximately 16,500 tons, an increase of 2,365 tons compared to 2008. Average daily yield was nearly 200 tons, utilizing 25 haulage tractors, 35 tractor trailers and 40 grain carriers for grain transportation.

As of 17 July 2009, all agricultural units of Muruvvat-Agrosanoat have fulfilled their state grain supply quotas. Wheat contractual quotas amount to 12,683 tons this year, including 8,200 tons of seeding varieties. Supply quota will be exceeded and will reach 130%.

The company’s farms are currently laying in 1,500 tons of seed stocks for the 2010 harvest. Tillage is presently under way in the released harvested areas, using over 20 plough tractor units of HTZ-172, HTZ-181, MHM-140 Models.
