Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- WBA and IBF super bantamweight champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev knocked out Ronny Rios from the United States in a scheduled 12 rounder at the Tech Port Arena in San Antonio on Saturday.

The representative of Uzbekistan dominated in the bout throughout the fight, neutralizing the challenger’s attempts to put pressure on him and successfully counterattacking with his front right hand.

In the twelfth round, Akhmadaliev knocked down the opponent, and later forced the referee to stop the fight.

“In the second round, I hurt my hand. I hit him in the forehead and injured my arm. I used my front hand and it was very successful, but I was worried about the rest of the fight,” he said.

He stated that he was ready to box with any opponent that the promoters would offer him, but did not name any names.
