Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mirzo Ulugbek Innovation Center and the Association of Technoparks of the Republic of Korea signed a cooperation agreement. The document reflects the joint plan of the parties to implement a long-term strategic partnership in the regional market in the field of information and communication technologies and the development of a startup ecosystem.
The signing of the agreement will allow the parties to begin implementing a number of agreements that were reached in July 2017 during the visit of representatives of the Association of Technoparks of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan.
In particular, the sides will develop a concept of the technopark of MUIC, its construction in Tashkent and preparation of its management.
The technological experience of Korean partners will allow creating a universal IT-infrastructure facility that will become a platform for generating ideas, translating them into products that are competitive in the foreign market, as well as a platform for developing start-ups in Uzbekistan. The structure of the technopark includes research laboratories, R & D centers, coworking and other components of the innovation ecosystem.
The agreement also includes plans for internships for responsible employees of MUIC in Korean technology parks, expert assistance from Korean specialists in the preparation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Technoparks” and other by-laws.
