Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The head coach of the Uzbekistan national football team, Srečko Katanec, has made changes to the squad for the third qualifying round matches of the 2026 World Cup against Iran and the UAE.

According to the Uzbekistan Football Association, Uzbekistan national team player and FC Pakhtakor’s Abdurauf Buriev will not be able to participate in the upcoming training camp due to injury.

In his place, Pakhtakor player Muhammadkodir Khamraliev has been called up to the national team.

The Uzbekistan national team will gather in Tashkent on 7 October for training sessions ahead of the matches against Iran and the UAE.

The first match will take place on 10 October against Iran, followed by a match against the UAE on 15 October.
