Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Nuriddin Khaliknazarov, has been accepted into the High Council of the World Islamic League.

This decision was made at a meeting of the most influential organization in the Islamic world, held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

During this meeting, important issues, such as establishing peace and tranquility worldwide, peaceful resolution of the situation in Palestine and the Gaza Strip, unity of the Islamic community, protection of the rights of Rohingya Muslims, prevention of desecration of religious symbols, and combating Islamophobia were discussed.

The Mufti of Uzbekistan has already become a member of four major Muslim organizations: the International Council of Muslim Scholars (Qatar), the Council of Muslim Elders (UAE), the Academy of Islamic Jurisprudence (Saudi Arabia), and now the High Council of the World Islamic League.
