From December 2009 to December 2010, the number of subscribers of MTS Uzbekistan grew by over 22% and in February 2011, the number reached nine million. The growth of subscriber base of MTS Uzbekistan is connected with launch of new tariff plans, expansion of coverage area and improvement of communication quality.

The operator underlined that it launched several attractive proposals for various groups of customers. It added that DIAL’OK became the most popular tariff plan, which allows to save money at long communication.

Vice President of MTS and director of business unit MTS Zarubejniyi kompanii (Foreign Companies) Oleg Raspopov said: “Subscriber base of MTS in Uzbekistan grew by 1 million in just six months and currently about one third of Uzbekistan population selected MTS as their mobile communication operator.”

He said that the operator entered 2011 with ambitious plans and among key plans of the company in Uzbekistan is to improve loyalty programme, develop 3G and 4G network, and improve services of the company at service points.
