MTS Uzbekistan significantly expands intl roaming service
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan, MTS Uzbekistan, significantly expanded geography of international roaming for its subscribers in September 2010 and added seven new operators to its list of roaming partners.

The operator said that four more operators joined to the international 3G roaming partners’ list in September 2010 - E-Plus (Germany), WIND (TIM) (Greece), Elisa (Estonia), TELE2 (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia). The speed of data transfer at networks, working on 3G standard with use of HSDPA technology, can reach 3.6 Mbs.

Currently, subscribes of MTS Uzbekistan, who has handsets with support of UMTS (HSDPA) standard, can use 3G roaming service at networks of 87 operators in 55 countries.

From September 2010, GPRS roaming service now is available at the network of E-Plus (Germany), TataDOCOMO (India), WIND (TIM) (Greece), Elisa (Estonia) и TELE2 (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia). MTS Uzbekistan now offers GPRS roaming at networks of 145 operators in 86 countries.

MTS Uzbekistan said international voice roaming can be used at networks of Vodafone (Malta) and T-Mobile (Montenegro). The international voice roaming is available for MTS Uzbekistan subscribers in 177 countries.
