Subsidiary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) said the service allows subscribers to view video clips without downloading them to mobile phone. The company said it became the first mobile operator, which is offering Video Streaming service.

MTS Uzbekistan subscribers should have handsets with 3G support and Video Streaming function. The service is available in area covered with 3G network of MTS Uzbekistan, the company added.

To view video content, subscribers should visit WAP-portal of MTS Uzbekistan at the address tv.mts.uz (Clips section), where they can find unique video content. The subscribers can Stop, Play, Pause, Rewind, Forward video clips. The subscribers pay only for content and there are no charges for traffic.

Nuriddin Shadmanov, deputy director of MTS Uzbekistan on commerce, said that the company is continueing programme on launch of innovation services at WAP portal. New service will provide subscribers to review popular video content, he said. Shadmanov said MTS willintroduce new services and expand content in future.
