The operator said new tariff plan is designed for active users of mobile Internet. New tariff plan can be used to access Internet through mobile handsets and through USB-modems.
The cost of tariff in this tariff is US$0.10 per megabyte. The company said subscribers can decrease their expenses through connection to one of Internet packages. There is no subscription free for use of GPRS-MMS+WAP+INTERNET service.
From 1 February 2010, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers can use 3G network service automatically, when they locate in the 3G network of the operator.
At the same time, all incoming calls are free. Outgoing calls to MTS Uzbekistan subscribers is US$0.02 per minute and other calls within Uzbekistan – US$0.03 per minute. Subscription fee in MTS Connect is US$0.02 per day.
Nuriddin Shadmanov, MTS Uzbekistan Deputy Director-General on commerce, said: “Taking into account growing interest of subscribers to mobile Internet, our company is continuing to develop proposals on optimization of expenses related to mobile Internet. Subscribing to MTS Connect, subscribers will receive opportunity to use mobile Internet on more preferential terms.”
