The company said the service will provide more favourable terms for sending of international SMS messages. The company offers three various packages of international SMS messages, which can be used to send SMS messages to mobile operators.
Nuriddin Shadmanov, deputy director-general on commerce of MTS Uzbekistan, said: “We hope that new service will help our subscribers to communicate with their friends and relatives on more favourable conditions.”
The company offers SMS 10 International with 10 SMS messages for US$1, SMS 30 International with 30 SMS messages for US$2 and SMS 50 International with 50 SMS messages for US$3.
MTS Uzbekistan said the company withdraws the cost of package at subscription and one subscriber can activate two International SMS packages. The package can be used within 30 days after activation.
MTS Uzbekistan is the largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan. The company joined to Mobile TeleSystems (MTS, Russia) in August 2004. The company serves over 6.79 million subscribers at the end of September 2009.
