MTS-Uzbekistan has about 7.38m subscribers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of MTS-Uzbekistan subscribers made up 7.38 million as of 31 March 2010, which means that the company is the largest mobile operator in Uzbekistan.

Mobile TeleSystems OJSC, largest mobile operator of Russia and the CIS, said the subscribers’ base of the operator grew by 1.2% in March compared to February.

Number of subscribers increased by 23.5% or 1.41 million people compared to the similar period of 2009.

Consolidated subscribers’ number of Mobile TeleSystems reached 97.81 million users as of 31 March 2010.
