MTS Uzbekistan expands list of roaming partners
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
MTS Uzbekistan, 100% subsidiary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems and the largest mobile operator in terms of subscribers’ number, said it expanded geography of international roaming significantly in September.
The company said international 3G roaming service is not available at the networks of T-Mobile (Germany), SK Telecom (South Korea), TeliaSonera (Denmark).
Currently, 3G roaming service is available at the networks of 29 operators in 25 countries, MTS Uzbekistan said.
MTS Uzbekistan said its subscribers can not use GPRS roaming service at the network of New Zealand’s Telecom. The company noted that it has GRPS roaming service with 96 operators in 63 countries.
New Zealand’s Telecom and MTS Uzbekistan also established cooperation in international voice roaming. Currently, MTS Uzbekistan has roaming agreements with 312 operators in 169 states.
