MTS Uzbekistan expands geography of international roaming
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan and 100% subsidiary of Mobile TeleSystem (Russia), expanded a list of roaming partners by seven in February 2011.
The company said that its subscribers can use international 3G roaming service at networks of Vodafone Essar (India), Megafon (Russia), Vodafone (Malta), Elisa (Finland), AT&T (USA), and Digicel (Jamaica). It is worth to mention that the speed of data transfer at 3G network with use of HSDPA standard can reach 3.6 Mbps.
Currently, subscribers of MTS Uzbekistan with handsets, supporting UMTS (HSDPA) standard, can receive access to high-speed data transfer with 3G roaming at networks of 111 operators in 74 countries.
Besides, the company launched GPRS-roaming service at the networks of Elisa (Finland) and Vodafone (Malta). Currently, MTS Uzbekistan subscribers can use GPRS-roaming at the network of 152 operators in 90 countries of the world.
Subscribers MTS Uzbekistan can use service of international voice roaming service at the network of 343 operators in 178 countries.
