From 7 November 2011, MTS Uzbekistan decreased activation prices for SMS packages by 10%. The subscribers can send SMS only to mobile communication operators of Uzbekistan.

Nuriddin Shadmanov, deputy director-general of MTS Uzbekistan on commerce, said the company regularly optimize its services oriented for SMS users. He said that the cut price will allow users to decrease their expenses for SMS messages.

The operator said that any subscriber can buy up to two packages simultaneously. The packages are valid for 30 days from the activation day. The subscribers are charged at activation.

At subscription of each package, the subscriber’s balance should have at least US$1. International SMS messages and SPS requests for services of content providers are charged in line with set tariffs.
